One integrated business platform for a global manufacturing organization.
Together with the client, we developed an integrated business platform that connects data, planning and management across more than 30 production locations. A Unified Data Layer, connected Business Applications and a common Management & Intelligence layer create one consistent way to work with data across the organization.

One integrated platform for data, business applications and management.
In a global manufacturing network, decisions are made every day at many levels - from individual plants and functions to regional and global management. For this to work, data, planning and business logic need to be structured and understood consistently across the organization.
iDashX creates that common foundation through three connected layers: a Unified Data Layer, integrated Business Applications, and Management & Intelligence. Together, they connect operational detail with planning, analysis and management - so teams can work at their own level while the organization operates from one shared view of the business.
Many local systems - but the need for one shared language.
Each location and business area had its own systems, structures and ways of working. Data existed, but it was not always comparable or prepared in the same way across the organization.
The challenge was to create a shared foundation that supports decisions at the lowest relevant level, while giving regional and global management a consistent view of the business.
- Connect data from different ERP, MES and business systems
- Standardize data across locations, business areas and hierarchies
- Preserve proven processes
- Clean up and simplify existing structures, functions and data
- Create one consistent data foundation worldwide
- Capture planning and steering data not available in source systems
- Support different roles, responsibilities and hierarchy levels
- Provide reports and dashboards without manual preparation
- Enable new apps, dashboards and drill-downs with minimal effort
- Keep the platform flexible for long-term development
Evolution instead of restart.
The platform was developed step by step together with the client. We built on proven processes, simplified the underlying structures and created a flexible foundation for data, planning, reporting and operational decision-making.
Building on a strong foundation
Many processes and local solutions already worked well, but were not equally usable everywhere. We analyzed what could be kept and standardized, and where new requirements called for a different approach. The goal was to build on what already existed and develop it further on a clearer, more modern foundation.
Developed together with the client
A joint team of the client's IT, key users and business analysts worked closely with Abuscom. The client brought deep process knowledge and user experience, while Abuscom led architecture, technology and implementation. Modules, interfaces and workflows were shaped together.
Unified Data Layer: one shared foundation
Data from ERP, MES and other business systems is brought into one common structure. Shared master data, hierarchies, mappings, definitions and business rules create a consistent foundation across locations and business areas.
Business Applications: from data to active planning
On top of the Unified Data Layer, integrated Business Applications allow users to create, adjust, simulate and submit data as part of standardized business processes - from sales and budget scenarios to resource, finance and headcount planning. Applications such as the Sales Analyzer, Resource Analyzer and Finance Analyzer use the same underlying data and business logic.
Management & Intelligence: from detail to decision
Dashboards, KPIs, reports and drill-downs use the same data and scenarios as the Business Applications, creating a consistent view from operational detail to global management.
A platform that grows with the company
New modules, KPIs, data sources and requirements can be added step by step. Proven functions remain in place and evolve as processes, technologies and organizational structures change.
The platform is used by many users across locations, countries, languages, currencies and business areas. The client operates the software and provides the data through clearly defined interfaces. Abuscom is responsible for concept, architecture, development, integration and the continuous development of the platform together with the client.
Less time collecting data. More time making decisions.
Locations and business areas work on one Unified Data Layer with shared definitions and business logic.
Data is not viewed in isolation, but connected along the real processes of the business.
Business Applications allow users to create and manage planning and operational scenarios directly within the platform.
Data sources, mappings and business rules remain traceable from the global view down to the details.
Management & Intelligence turns the same underlying data and scenarios into dashboards, KPIs, reporting and drill-down analysis.
Automated data processing, filters and drill-downs reduce recurring manual work. In some areas, preparation for operational meetings was reduced from a few hours to just a few minutes.
Standardized data, scorecards and drill-downs help teams focus on what needs attention instead of manually searching for issues.
Access is managed by task and responsibility - through modules and functions as well as organizational hierarchy levels.
A shared framework and reusable components reduce the effort needed for new apps, dashboards, drill-downs and modules.
A modernized technology foundation significantly reduces ongoing technology and license costs.
New companies, locations, data sources and modules can be integrated step by step.
The platform continues to evolve together with the company's processes, technologies and requirements.
